We recently added a slew of new features to the babyblast beta! We’ve incorporated the ‘Amazon Wishlist‘ feature to all levels of Babyblast including the free version. Expectant parents can add their Amazon Baby Registry to their profile with one click. The system will search against the users full name or email address and pull the appropriate wish list. We are also planning on adding a pass through so those parents who don’t already have a wishlist can easily go create one add add it into their profile.
The ‘wishlist’ integration is our coolest feature so far, it allows parents to easily publish their baby registry out to their recipient list for their birth announcement.
We also have polished our integration on the personal pages, allowing the user to pull in a flickr gallery or a blog page
I am hoping at some point we will do a google maps mashup, like Twitter vision is currently doing, so parent who chose to make their ‘location’ public will be displayed on a world map.
When Micha and Carrie Hanson had their first child, Lukas, Micha stepped out of the hospital room for a few minutes to check his voicemail. After laughing to himself when his phone said “You have 25 new voicemails”… he knew technology could help.
After returning from the Hospital he called together his business partners and pitched the idea for BabyBlast. After a fews weeks the beta was launched.
BabyBlast is a phone service that helps you send a birth announcement telephone message and emails to your friends, family, and co-workers.
